Shane Meador is a member of the Art Directors Guild, a hands on collaborator,
and a life long student of film. He has production designed 20 feature films
including recent theatrical releases Founders Day and She Came from the Woods. Other recent films include Intermedium (musical ghost story,) Shattered Ice (hockey drama,)
Plan B (Jon Heder rom-com,) and A Biltmore Christmas (1940s time travel movie.)
He won a Southeastern EMMY for work on an animated PSA for Homeward Bound.
Commercial clients include Microsoft, Bank of America, Turner, Jack Daniels, Hanes,
Canada Dry, EarthFare, and HGTV. He designed music videos for Ben Lovett,
Underhill Rose, and Steve Martin with The Steep Canyon Rangers.
Shane's award winning set designs for theater and dance include shows at the Kennedy Center and off-Broadway. He designed video installations for Waterlines, a project combining science, dance, and architecture. He assisted with projection design (video mapping onto sets) for musicals such as Stephen King's Ghost Brothers of Darkland County and Opera Philadelphia's adaptation of Lars von Trier’s Breaking the Waves.
The Modern American Music Project hired Shane to direct a silent film to accompany live performances of David Lang's Pulitzer prize winning The Little Match Girl Passion.
